Waiting. ((Open))

Elsei walked into the large ballroom. She folded her hands over the front of the purle dress she wore. The dress was long, it trailed on the ground behind her. The neck was a V that went down to the center of her chest. There was nobody there thankfully. She wore balarina flats beneath her gown for the sake of not wanting to break her ankle and her hair was curled up in a messy bun. She hurried over to a bench, sitting down and digging through her purse. She checked for her wand, money, and the stash of chocolate frogs she had brought with her. Her cheeks flushed bright red as she stared at the ground, boredly kicking her dress as she waited for the rest of the crowd to show up. She had of course received tons of compliments from Draco about how stunning she looked and any bloke that chose to dance with her would be the luckiest bloke alive. She had also arrived early since she herself stayed at the Manor with Draco. Elsei huffed and shoved her bangs to the side, staring up at the enchanted ceiling, it was charmed to look like the night sky. She smiled a bit and became lost in the vast ceiling, countimg the endless ammount of stars.

Bonnie entered the ballroom, nibbling at her lower lip. The dress she had decided on wearing was pale blue and faded into a dark blue at the bottom, hugging what little curves she had. One strap was broad on her left shoulder, the other bare. The hem of the dress covered the strappy blue heels she wore, making her about four inches taller. Red curls were gathered in a bun atop her head, small tendrils framing her face. She spotted the blond girl and blinked, sighing. She looked gorgeous. Nobody else seemed to be there, which made Bonnie feel a tad uncomfortable. Last time the two girls had meet, they nearly ripped each others throats out. Building up her courage, she moved to stand a few feet in front of the girl and smiled nervously. "Elsei."

Jacob glanced up at the sky, where the moon was half-hidden by a few wispy clouds. Thank goodness it was half full. He went through the doors of the great Manor, the palms of his hand slightly damp from nervous perspiration. He had on a black suit and dress shoes, with a red collarless shirt underneath. Around his neck hung a leather string dyed gold. On it was a single wolf fang. He had immediately began searching for proper attire the moment the owl flew through the window, bearing a scroll with the Malfoy crest. While he had found a suit that fit him, he hadn't liked the way the collars of the shirts had closed around his neck. After multiple failed attempts in charming it to make them more comfortable, he gave up. Charms and transfigurations had never been his strong point, which was a bit ironic given his tendency to transform once a month. He walked into the ballroom, surprised at the lack of people there. Maybe he was too early? Then he saw two girls in the corner, one with red hair and one with blond. His eyes widened as he took in their appearances. They both looked brilliant, it was Elsei his eyes were drawn to. Her purple dress trailed on the floor, and plunged down without revealing too much. He like how her hair was not perfect, with every strand in place, but messily done. It didn't look like she had hurried through it, but seemed to suggest a more playful side to her. He took a few steps in coughed, not wanting to startle them.

"Bonnie! Hi." Elsei squeaked out, smiling sweetly. She really hadnt expected the girl to speak with her since they hadnt exactly got off on the right foot. She smiled at the ravenclaw girl, standing up slowly. She went to run a hand through her hair but quickly realized it was pinned up. Elsei trailed a hand down to her sternum, instead toying with the wing pendant that hung there. As Jacob approached and coughed Elsei jumped, smiling at him. "Jacob, hey." She walked over to him, pulling him into a friendly hug. She game him a petite squeeze before letting go, glancing back towards Bonnie then back to Jacob. She thought about introducing the two, but she didnt really know how to go about doing that.

Rebecca wrapped her arms around herself self consciously as she stood at the doors of the Manor. A sudden hoot coming from directly above her caused her to flinch and step sideways. She felt a twinge of annoyance as she saw the familiar, brown edged face of her best friend. "I'll be fine. Thanks for following me out here, but you can't come in." She said as he perched on a nearby branch. He hooted again, gazing at her with unblinking eyes. "If you really want you, I suppose you can stay here. I'll be cold." She warned, stroking his head. He mouthed her hand gently, careful not to let the sharp edges of his beak cut her skin. Rebecca opened the door and walked in, taking a deep breath. She rubbed the silky material covering her left arm and paused. She was never one for dressing up. Thankfully, her mother had sent her along this year with a few dresses gathered over the years. She threw her shoulders back decisively and entered the ballroom with a nervous smile on her face. She was wearing a silky dress that was bleached white at the top and gradually darkened to a pitch black hemline. Her right shoulder was bare, but her left arm was encased in a loose sleeve. Her dress was rather tight up top, but as it grew darker, it also widened, ending a few inches above her feet. She had chosen black, solid wedge heels only about an inch and a half thick for easy movement. After a few moments of contemplation, she had left her hair as it was, down and across her face. She was too used to hiding her eyes behind it to to pin it back. She was the fourth person to arrive, after two girls and one boy. She hadn't seen the blond haired girl or the boy before, but she recognized the bright hue Bonnie's hair. She walked forward shyly, stopping to the left of the boy and a few paces back.

She nibbled on her lower lip nervously, blinking as the two said their hellos. Bonnie knew that Elsei didn't much like her, and she hadn't meet the other boy, so she felt kind of out of place beside them. She was grateful when Rebecca appeared beside them, and smiled softly at the girl. "Rebecca," She took the girls hands and gazed at her fondly. "You look beautiful."

Jacob smiled and returned the hug. He leaned closer to her ear and whispered "You look amazing." He saw the girl in blue look behind him, and he turned to see a shy-looking girl in a dress that was white, black, and every shade in between. The two obviously knew each other. He wondered if anyone else was going to show up. Frankly, he had expected Draco to be here, after all, this party was being held in his house. "Who's your friend?" He asked lightly, gesturing at the red=headed girl. He was quite aware that he was the only male in the room, and that made him feel a little awkward, but he tried to shrug it off.

Blair inhaled deeply before she opened the ballroom doors and stepped inside, her green eyes automatically looking for Davin; at least he would be a friendly face. She wore her hair up in an elegant bun and had on a sparkling green dress with a deep v in it, snake earrings dangling and accenting the hollow of her pale throat. She stood up several inches taller in her silver stilettos and on her pale finger was a silver snake ring that her mother had given her when she had been sorted into Slytherin. She spotted Davin over by the refreshments and hurried over, glad that he had arrived before her. "You look dashing tonight," she said, smiling and punching him playfully on the arm. She served herself up a drink and looked around the room, chewing on her bright red bottom lip.

Draco, in a bright flash of green, appeared in the middle of the ballroom. He wore a rather dashing old penguin-tailed tuxedo, black dress shoes, and a green dress shirt. A slick black bowtie around his neck to top it all off. The Slytherin raised a brow, true he had expected many more people to show. Nevertheless they were here. He pulled out his wand, pointing it at his throat. "Welcome. I'm sure you all know me but in the unlikley instance that you dont. I am Draco Malfoy. Refreshments are charmed to refill and the House elf is arranging the food at the moment. Make yourselves at home. Everywhere in the house is accessable, there are several bathrooms down the hall. I just ask that you do not enter my sleeping quarters, the kitchen, or my cousin Marious' sleeping quarters. There is a Quidditch pitch in the back, and a hot springs on the outside porch. As I stated previously, make yourselves at home. Feel free to ask if you need anything." His voice was amplified just a tad and he shoved his free hand into his pocket. "One question for the lot of you. What music do you want played?" He raised a brow, keeping the wooden stick pointed at his throat as he waited for the few that had arrived to respond.

Rebecca smiled as Bonnie greeted her. She blushed and looked away for a moment before forcing herself to look up slightly and meet the older girl's gaze. "Thank you, but really, I'm no more beautiful than you." She replied. She was glad to see a familiar and friendly face among the few guests that had arrived. The doors opened, and Rebecca turned to see a well dressed young man enter. He didn't appear to recognize anyone at first, and instead went to get a drink. Shortly afterwards, a girl came in wearing a green dress that matched her eyes. She appeared to be looking for someone, and quickly hurried over to the refreshment table. She looked around the room and met Rebecca's pale blue-gray orbs. The Ravenclaw girl offered her a slight smile before turning back to Bonnie. "I thought there would be more people, but I guess it's kinda nice this way." She commented, trying to make conversation. Suddenly, there was a flash of green, and the boy Rebecca now recognized as Draco Malfoy apparated into the ballroom. As expected, he looked quite sophisticated as he formally started the party. Rebecca glanced over at Bonnie with a slightly nervous smile. Dancing was something she hadn't quite gotten the hang of. Maybe she wouldn't have to tonight. "What do you think?"

Elsei's face flushed a bright shade of magenta as her friend complimented her. She wasnt used to receiving compliments, only from Draco. She bit her lip nervously as she tried to remember what the girls name was. "Oh, thats Bonnie. And you look wonderful as well. " Elsei smiled a sheepishly, glancing around at all the people who had showed up. There surprisingly were very few, though that also meant there was a higher chance of getting to relax in the Hot Springs alone. She did love the springs. She had been extremely excited to hear Draco had took her advice and gotten them. They were charmed to allways stay clean, as well as smell like whatever the person was attracted to most. She didnt know why he had opted for that, but she wasnt complaining. At least they smelled lovely and not like several people had used them beforehand. Draco had not mentioned staying out of her room which bothered her a bit, but then again she had locked her room, the key she had tucked safely in her shoe.

Bonnie smiled softly and pulled the girl into a hug. "To avoid further argument, let's just say that we look equally amazing," she giggled. Not wanting to start any drama, she didn't even look up at the two that entered next, but focused on Draco as he appeared in the middle of the room, looking rather dashing. She nibbled on her lower lip, her cheeks taking on a bit of color. She blinked when she realized that Rebecca had been speaking to her. "Oh, uhm, what?"

Davin grinned as his eyes fell on Blair. "You look absolutely beautiful," he said, wrapping an arm around her waist and kissing her cheek. His eyes raked her body, appreciating the way the dress clung to her curves. He was a little put off by how tall she was, but he still had several inches on her and thought she was perfect. "Look, it's Draco." Davin said unnecessarily as the blond boy appeared. He had no musical suggestions that he wanted to voice, so he turned back to Blair. "I'm glad to see you here. I thought I would be alone with all of these people." He chuckled and took a sip of his drink.

Blair blushed slightly as Davin complimented her. She wasn't sure how she would react, but was saved the trouble by Draco suddenly appearing. She barely listened to him, her thoughts still on the boy with his arm around her waist, and when he spoke to her, it took her a minute to understand what Davin was saying. "Of course I wouldn't leave you here alone. You couldn't last five minutes without me babysitting you." Blair winked at him and giggled, taking another sip of her drink.

Jacob heard two more people arrive, and he glanced over to see a boy and a girl over by the refreshments, comfortably chatting. He couldn't imagine why Elsei had turned so red at his compliment; she was pretty enough to get compliments anywhere she went. He decided against commenting on her looks once more, and instead went with a simple but genuine "Thanks." The other two girls had stepped aside slightly, holding their own conversations, so he refrained from introducing himself. Suddenly, in a puff of green, Draco showed up. A true Slytherin, he sported a green shirt underneath his jacket. Jacob raised his eyebrows. The Manor included more rooms than he had thought. The host officially started the party, asking for music preference. The Hufflepuff boy shrugged in response. He liked all kinds of music. Real music, with a melody and beat. With a sudden brave impulse, he decided that if anything came up that included singing, he would join in. No one had ever heard him sing in human form before, though many had been frightened by his howls.

Rebecca chuckled at Bonnie's response. She had been looking at Draco the whole time, but apparently that was all she had been doing. "What kind of music do you like?" She repeated. "Handsome over there wants to know." She teased in a low voice that only Bonnie could hear. The blond-haired Ravenclaw was feeling surprisingly open tonight. Perhaps it was the stress of her not-quite-home-anymore leaving her mind. Hogwarts was a much better place to be, especially with your friends.

She turned red and blinked, nibbling at her lower lip. "Oh, well, uhm..I'm not sure. I'm not a particularly musical person." It's true. She thought music to be quite boring in her tastes. She prefered to sit outside and listen to nature. She turned her attention fully on Rebecca, and smiled softly. "Do you have any ideas?"

"Babysitter, pah." Davin said, serving himself another drink. He looked back at Blair, his eyes once more raking over her. "I just can't even keep my eyes off of you," he said, taking her hand and raising it up in the air, encouraging her to turn around so he could see the rest of her with his other hand, the drink still in his grip.

Blair blushed and turned her face down, an embarrassed smile on it as he twirled her around. "You don't need to do that, we're in public." She said when he was finished, placing her drink on the table and crossing her arms over her chest unconsciously.

Davin set his drink next to Blair's and moved so he was standing in front of her. He ran his fingers lightly up her arms and stopped when his hands were cupping her face. "Don't sell yourself short," he said, looking her in the eyes. "You look beautiful tonight. Everyone should have the pleasure of laying their eyes on you... but not for too long. You're mine tonight." Davin leaned in so their noses were touching, his eyes still on hers, though they were starting to cross from focusing on her face when it was so close.

Blair smiled at Davin before planting a quick kiss on his lips and bringing him out to the dance floor. "I'm not very good at this, so you're going to have to help me." She said, placing one of his hands on her waist and holding the other in hers.

"Follow my lead," Davin said, softly twirling her around and pulling her back in, close to his body. They spun around, not caring about the rest of the party. "What made you decide to come tonight?" Davin asked Blair curiously, his eyes on hers, still slowly revolving around her.

Draco, with a wave of his hand, commanded the music to begin. Nobody had a suggestion so, either they could change it or deal with the classy borig music he had put. He lazily raised his wand back to his throat, flinching as the cold wood hit his rather warm skin. "If anyone needs me, simply send the house elf to retrieve me." He lowered the wand, shoving it back into his pocket before he made his way towards the hallway. The house elf would be bringing food soon, thigh Draco wasnt hungry, he needed a moment alone. A moment to himself, to think.

Harry inched down the hall in time to see Draco leave. His face reddened as he peeked into the ballroom. People were scattered about, none that he had met before. He vaguely remembered the two dancing, but he couldn't recall where he had seen them. The raven haired boy sighed as he entered the room. He wore a plain black suit with a light green undershirt that complimented his eyes rather well. He pushed up his glasses and stood nervously in the doorway for several moments. Nervous? why was he so nervous. He was the boy who bloody lived. He defeated Voldemort, the dark lord, not a pinch of nervousness there but as soon as it came to anything dealing with dancing and people he didnt know his skin crawled and butterflies went mad in his stomach. He felt as if he was about to vomit. Harry swallowed hard and stepped into the room, attempting to look as confident as possible. He messed with the white tie around his neck and sat at one of the tables that linned the one side of the wall. He was slightly surprised that there werent more people, Draco was known for hosting some of the grandest parties...Maybe it was because he's a know Death Eater...Harry ran a hand through his hair and looked nervously up at the clock. It was only about an hour into the party, maybe two. Draco would have his head if he left now. He thought of finding the blonde, but quickly decided against it. He would have to sit this one through and pray to Merlin nobody recognized him.
