Desdemona Apparated to her front door, glad that it simply opened to her touch. She shivered as she entered the manor, shedding her coat and putting it in the closet before turning to the boy she had brought with her. "I have a rule about shoes, I don't mean to be a pain." Desdemona removed her own as she spoke, loving the feel of her socks and the carpet beneath her feet.

Guyver blinked and smiled softly, leaning down to slip off his converse shoes. He shrugged and stood again when his feet were bare of shoes. "It's okay. If I had a house as nice as this one, I'm sure I would have the same rule." He lifted a hand to push his bangs from his face, grimacing slightly at the pain in his stomach.

"I got lucky with my parents." Desdemona said, closing the door behind Guyver and taking his hand, leading him towards the guest bedroom. "They wanted me to be independent and had the means to spoil me. It's too big for just me." She said matter-of-factly. She had never really wanted a huge house, but appreciated her parents' gift nonetheless.
