Firewhisky On A Cold Night

Desdemona walked into the Three Broomsticks, her face pink and her body shivering from the cold. She was bundled up but brought a nice cold wind in with her as she fought to close the door. "I'll have a Firewhisky, please." She told the bartender as she sat down and removed her coat, giving one last shiver before looking around her. She began to run her fingers through her black hair nervously. She was hopefully going to start classes at Hogwarts soon and she smiled as she felt comforted by the idea of being back here, surrounded by magic. "Thank you very much," she said as her drink was placed in front of her. She picked it up and took a sip. It immediately began to warm her up, from the crown of her head to the tips of her toes.

Helena pushed the door open and stepped into the warm building, heels clicking against the floor, running her fingers through deep brown tresses, fluffing them up and cleaning the snow off. She unzipped her leather jacket, blowing her breath out and pressing her gloves hand against her cheeks, red from the whipping wind outside.

Marious stepped through the door right behind Helena. His tattooed fingers found their way to the buttons of his jacket as his cheeks reddened from the sudden change in temperature. He almost tore his jacket off, running a hand through his chocolate brown locks atop his head. He motioned towards the tables, signaling for her to choose one.

Helena moved to a table in the corner, slipping into the booth and pulling off her gloves and crossing her legs under the table at her ankles. She let her head fall back against the leather of the booth and let out a sigh. "Merlin, it's cold out there," She murmured, swinging her gaze to Marious.

Marious smiled and slipped into the seat across from Helena. He folded his jacket and stuffed into the corner of the booth, scratching gently at one of his new tattoos. "Got that right. Bloody freezing." He chuckled a bit, leaning back into the rather comfortable seat.

Desdemona had finished off her Firewhisky and was turned around, preparing to leave, when she spotted the two sitting down in the booth. She thought she recognized the boy from when she had gone in and applied for her job, so she decided to go over and introduce herself. "Hello," she said as she walked over to the pair. "I'm Desdemona... I think I saw you at Hogwarts earlier; I just got a job there." She was very excited about this news. She had wanted to grow up and end up at Hogwarts ever since she could remember.

Helena glanced up at the woman, smiling softly. "Oh, did you? What is it that you teach, professor? We're both professors there ourselves," She said softly, leaving back against the booth and folding her hands together atop the table.

"Charms," Desdemona answered the woman, looking her in the eyes. "What do you teach?" Desdemona drew up a chair and sat down. She didn't sit in the booth because they always made her feel trapped, and she didn't know either of these two well enough to sit next to them. She pulled her hair over her shoulder as she looked at both of them in turn.

Guyver entered the Three Broomsticks, his ice blue gaze shifting across the bar in search of his brother. He knew he was there, he could smell him. When he spotted him, in a booth with two woman, he strode over. He smiled arrogantly, placing his hands on the back of the chair that the tattooed woman sat and leaving over her. "Brother!" He chuckled, lifting a hand to scratch at his chin. "It's been awhile."

Desdemona was startled by the addition of a new person. I can see the resemblance between them. she thought to herself as she opened her mouth to introduce herself to the new man. "I'm Desdemona Vega. I'm the new charms professor at Hogwarts." She extended her hand towards the newcomer in greeting, a subtle smile on her red lips.

Helena glanced up at the new man, blinking. He has a brother..?

Marious' gaze grew dark and hazed as a low snarl ripped rough his chest. He knew his brother would show up eventually he had heard his howls. Marious snapped as his brother scratched at his chin, glaring at him angrily. "It's been awhile indeed. If I recall, last time we met you tried to rip my throat out." he snorted arrogantly, balling his hands into fists beneath the table. "Didn't mother ever tell you its not polite to bother your elders?" he hissed out between his teeth which were clenched shut, his jaws turning white from the increased pressure.

Guyver smiled and shook the woman, Desdemona's, hand. "Hello, beautiful. I'm Guyver." He then turned to the small chocolate-haired woman and winked. "And Hello to you, too." He swung his gaze to his elder brother and tilted his head. "Oh, brother, come on. Congratulate me! You are looking at the new Dueling professor at Hogwarts!"

Her face turned red, and she stared at Guyver. He was an odd one. She pursed her lips. "Uhm, hi..." She ordered a butterbeer from the waitress that Desdemona had flagged down.

"Merlin strike me with lightning right now." he ran a hand hrouh his hair angrily, letting out a sigh. "Congrats ye' bloody git." Marious grunted, shifting his weight to look the other way. Why did his brother have to ruin everything! And did he wink at Helena! Shit was about to go down there was no doubt about it.

He chuckled, sliding into the booth beside the brunette woman and singing his arm over her shoulders, grinning at his brother. "Why, thank you," he chuckled and turned his attention to the woman beside him. "And your name is?"

Desdemona smiled as the waitress came around with the drinks. "Thank you," she said quietly, taking a long sip from the glass. "Boys, are you sure this is the right time to have a showdown?" She looked from one to the other, the tension thickening so much that you could have cut it with a knife. Desdemona moved uncomfortably in her seat and wondered what possibly could have happened between the two to make things so bad.

She flushed, her shoulders going rigid, her eyes widening. "Uhm, I'm Helena. Helena Fox." She thankfully gulped at her butterbeer. This was going to be a long night.

"Don't touch her." Marious snapped. His hands flying tothe top of the table with such force the wooden panel almost snapped. "Brother, maybe we should converse outside. Your making my friend uncomfortable. another low growl ripped through his chest as he dug his fingernails into he table.

He smiled, turning to the woman. "Are you you uncomfortable, dear? Or is he just jealous?" He looked back at Marious. "What's going on between you and her?" His eye flashed, his smile turning arrogant one again.

When Marious' hands hit the table, Desdemona jumped and spilled a little bit of her Firewhisky down her front. She immediately turned bright red and silently took out her wand, cursing her nerves, and siphoned off the beverage, finishing it off in one gulp and placing the glass down on the table. "I'll have another one, please," she said to the waitress. She had to be careful about how much she would drink, but was still feeling a bit awkward around these new people.

She almost spat her butterbeer out, her eyes widening. "Uhm, w-what?" She glanced at Desdemona, who had ordered another firewhisky.

Marious' eyes flashed black as he snarled. He wanted to drive his fist into his brothers stomach so hard he'd puke up guts for weeks but he couldn't. Instead he smiled sweetly, grinding his teeth together. "Not jealous. Outside. Now." he chuckled a bit, gritting his teeth together a bit more.
