Broomsticks and Owls((Elena Thomanson))

Bonnie held the broomstick between her legs and pushed off the ground, hovering just above the grass. She smiled as Griffith, her snow white barn owl, flew in circles about her, hooting a greeting. She grinned at the owl, whistling at him in a low tune that he instantly recognized. He flew down and landed delicately on the end of her broomstick. She reached out and pet his soft feathers, cooeing softly to him

Elena scurried out into the courtyard. Noticing the white blur drifting through the air by the witch, she breathed a sigh of relief. "Bonnie" She muttered to herself, smiling widly. The girls hair was pinned out of her face, except for one strand that always never seemed to fit. She called out her name and Bonnie turned around, flashing her georgous smile. Elena had her broomstick in hand and her wand in the other, tripping over a branch in the ground, her wand went flying and hit Bonnie on the back of the head.

Her eyes widened as she was hit in the back of the head. She turned to see Elena on the ground and her wand some distance away. She swooped down and caught the wand before it hit the ground. She then landed on the grass, wiggling her bare toes in the soft blades. She rushed over to the girl, trying to contain the giggles that threatened to burst from her tiny frame. "Elena, you have to be careful with your wand. It could have broken."

Elena giggled, "Oops, hehe, silly me!" Bonnie looked at the giggling girl and couldn't help but join in on her laughter. "You're so clumsy, Elena, I swear one of these days your gonna lose your head." Laughter surged through Elena, once she started laughing it was almost impossible for her to stop. Her cheeks flushed and she nearly tripped again.

She blinked and handed Elena her wand back, smiling softly. "Work on your balance, girlie," She said, tilting her head. Griffith stopped down and landed atop of the broomstick that Bonnie held in her hand. He let out a hoot and, following suit of his owner, tilted his head.

"I try my best!" Elena giggled, she has always been clumsy. She glanced around the court yeard. "So what are you up to on this fine day?" She asked Bonnie curious as to what everyone else did while she was at quidditch practice.

She shrugged and moved to the edge of the courtyard, setting her broom up against the clock tower. She then settled herself on the ground, indian-style, and leaned back against the wall. "Flying with Griffith. I was bored," she said, petting the owl as he landed gently on her shoulder.
