Name:Jacob McElliot
Age:16
Gender:Male
Patronus:Wolf
Boggart:Full Moon
Wand Type: Hawthorn, 10 inches, Phoenix feather
History:
Jacob is a pureblood, but was raised to believe that blood 'status' doesn't matter. His parents are relatively wealthy. Not crazy rich, but they definitely have money to spend. Most of their time and energy has gone into their two sons, Luke and Jacob. Luke, older by 3 years, has always been in the spotlight. He cast a shadow that Jacob finds almost impossible to escape from. Of course, it doesn't help that they look like they could be twins. As the years progressed, Jacob developed a burning envy, and despised his brother. His parents were always comparing him to Luke, and not in a positive way either. Finally, Luke went to Hogwarts. Jacob thought he could finally escape his brother's shadow, but unfortunately all his parents spoke of was how successful Luke was at Hogwarts. Jacob couldn't handle it any longer. He ran away from home and got lost in the thick forest close to his house. There, his life was changed forever. The full moon would haunt his dreams forever. Being wizards, his parents knew what kind of changes Jacob would go through for the rest of his life, and were determined to help him adapt to them. Through all his ears at Hogwarts, they have sent a bottle of Wolfsbane Potion every month to ease the transition.
Appearance:
Jacob has brown-blonde hair that is relatively short. It always looks like he had run his fingers through his hair while it was damp, and it just stayed like that. He has bright blue eyes that usually sparkle with mischief. His skin is neither pale nor tanned, just an average skin tone for a British teen. He stands at 5'10'' and his body type is about average as well. Not stocky, not slim. He does make sure that he stays fit, thought, and his toned muscles are proof of that. His smile is usually described as charming, and he knows how to flash it. Jacob's typical outfit consists of a black leather jacket, a plaid shirt, and jeans.
When the full moon comes up, he turns into a hulking, black-furred beast. The only way to tell him apart from any other werewolf is by looking at his eyes. They remain the same color whether he is in werewolf form or human form. However, his werewolf eyes do not see the same way his human eyes do. He is not always able to tell who's a friend and who's a foe. However, close friendships do make a difference.
Personality:
Jacob is normally a cheerful, slightly flirty guy with a nice sense of humor. However, he knows that there are times to be serious. He is a hard worker and a firm believer of his values. For him, the power of love, both friendship and romantic, is unstoppable. He will lay his life down for his friends. While he can come off as a 'player', he rarely goes farther than flirting. Romantic relationships mean a lot to him, and while he has had a few special people in his life, he waits until he is sure his feelings are actually love and not a simple crush before making a commitment. One thing he's never told anyone is his love of music. Not necessarily the songs playing on the radio, but the songs that floated out of musical instruments. Heavily instrumental sung songs have never had the same effect on him as more solo tunes with meaningful lyrics. The only thing he gained from being bitten was a lovely voice that no one expects from a guy like him.
RP Sample:
Jacob shivered as the sun made its way below the horizon. His backpack was starting to get quite heavy, but the ominous sounds lurking in the shadows pressed him on. He wished that he had never gone in. When the sun was shining and the skies bright, the forest seemed like the perfect place to disappear into. Now, under the darkening canopy above, he feared that it was true. That he would disappear, never to be seen and his body never found. During the brief moment when the sun is very nearly gone and the moon hasn't quite woken up, Jacob's worst nightmares were brought to life by the dancing shadows and forest chatter. He sprinted forward, losing all bearings except for an overwhelming desire to leave the trees. He collapsed in a clearing, lit up by the moon. He raised his blue eyes to the sky, now decorated with sparkling stars and a beautiful, round, full moon. He sighed and set his backpack down. As he relaxed, he realized just how much his parents had given for him. For him. A big, warm, comfortable house. Delicious and at times exotic foods. Nice, brand new clothes and top-rated gadgets. Bright smiles and cheerful laughter.
Suddenly, he wanted to go back home. Apologize for his rash and selfish behavior, and wait excitedly for his big brother to return. Mature thoughts for a nine-year-old boy. A terrible snarling scared Jacob to his feet. He whimpered nervously as amber eyes blinked into being within the shadows. A wolfish beast stepped forward, snarling and snapping. Jacob screamed at the top of his lungs and sprinted in the opposite direction. Adrenaline pumping, he crawled under low root tunnels, over and through a river, and finally found a tree easy enough for him to climb. His breath was ragged and he clambered up onto the second branch when he felt teeth scrape his calf. He screamed again and yanked it up, tearing his pants and leaving four bloody gashes. He practically flew up the tree, where he was quickly found by a search party sent out by his anxious parents.
